iOS 5 app update issues. reverts to old ID as default

    Just updated all of my devices to Lion and I cloud. Recently also changed my email address and apple ID.
    Went to update apps (purchased under previous ID/email address). Prior to update, asking for password and ID default is my old deleted ID/ email address. Can't seem to get around this. Signed out of Store and logged back in with new ID. Then re-synced phone and Ipad (all updated to iOS 5). This didn't help. NOT an IT wiz. Need help.:confused:

    All apps you previously purchased are still associated with your old id. There is no way at the current time to "merge" your accounts. Any apps you purchase from this point on will be associated with your new id.

    There is talk of Apple working on being able to merge ids, but currently this is not an option.
