First of all, it's much smoother and more stable.
Some apps work again (not Netflix) and Wi-Fi Synch is enabled.

There's some minor fixes as well, like YouTube videoes working again, album artists being grouped, notification controls fixed on the lock-screen etc.

According to most write ups thus far, its really coming along nicely! I really hope Apple adds some sort of color for the status bar to show that "hey you may have dismissed a notification but there are still notifications you may have missed"

Airplay = Blue
On Call = Green
Notifications = ??

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 3Gs: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/534.32 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8F190 Safari/6533.18.5)

Fixed a lot of bugs. Is anyone having a problem with the unlockit apn changer on att though, through wap.cingular?

I'm not so sure if the new notifications on the lock screen are "fixed." I filed that as a bug with Apple.

I refer to the sliding mechanism when trying to go directly to an app through a notification on the lock-screen. Before you had to be very precise, now you can just slide right and left even if your thumb goes up and down etc. - thus fixed.

I just updated my 3GS to beta 2 and jail broke it. I'll report back after I've played with it, but the while process went easy enough.

Are events in the calendar app meant to appear on the lockscreen because they dont for me?

To me it is about the same stability wise. Some bug fixes and tweaked functionality make it a worthy upgrade. None of my apps that were previously broken work now, and no new apps are broken. I'll continue to use it on my daily phone. To me the new features are worth the few bugs.

I still haven't had time to update. Can someone tell me if you can save a picture from MMS?

that's not the lockscreen though :p

The Lockscreen only shows notifications that you recieved since the phone was locked the last time.
So, even 'whole day' calendar events will show maybe once and then remain in the notification drawer.

Once you unlocked the phone, the lockscreen essentially gets flushed

EPIC fail to me, totally misread that one

I'd rather notifications like calendar, to-do list remained on the lockscreen until completed.

I can understand texts and phone calls being wiped. Maybe are a coloured status bar would be useful (as stated above) if they are going to wipe them from the homescreen

your calender item there, is that something with a reminder set?

side note, basingstoke's not too far from me! lol.

Lol where are you?
No reminder set just an all day event set up

Only noticed it was there when i checked the iPad and the iPhone was still on beta 1
