Hmmmm, for me only all day events show up at the notification centre

I hope Apple have a look at this as I feel it could be improved

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/9A5248d Safari/6533.18.5)

FaceTime has been disabled which is a deal breaker for me. A new app that isn't working for me is TMZ for some reason, not a big deal though. HBO Go still doesn't work. All in all it runs well, but I'm going back to 4.3.3 until beta 3 comes out to get my FaceTime back.

I won't be going back to 4.3.3 now, Beta 2 is a vast improvement on the first release. The UI is smoother and the addition of WiFi sync alone is worth it.

You can use Tango as an alternative if you're only going from ios to ios.

Seems reasonably quick on the 3GS. No weather "widget" on the lock screen. Notifications seems smooth.

Battery drain is quick. Most notifications and cloud off, but I lost 10% in the last couple hours of not much use. I'll leave it lay all night and see what I get. In the past it would hardly drop at all overnight.

Too much battery drain, too many programs not working, too little benefit. I just don't see the "big woop" about iOS5.

Went back to 4.3.3 and JB.

iOS 5 for iPhone update if not a developer

Is there a way to get iOS 5 beta 2 if your not a developer?

with beta 1, i had to downgrade to 4.3.3 because of many bugs, especially with lagging keyboard performance when typing in safari.

unlike beta 1, the beta 2 seems fixed that and the performance throughout the OS is much faster than the first beta and it makes the beta 2 usable for day to day use.

depending on what you do on your phone will decide if this is worth installing now or not. I will say that i have installed both iOS 5 Beta 1 and 2 once they came out but have since reverted back to iOS 4.3.3

iOS 5 Beta 1 was extremely buggy and Beta 2 still had some bugs that i spotted but all in all runs very well but i am a BIG user of Facebook & Whatsapp and both apps don't work well yet in iOS 5 so this is why i reverted back.

Whatsapp is working perfectly on my iPhone 4, Facebook works fine on wifi but is a little glitchy on 3G, but then that's facebook for you

Are events in the calendar app meant to appear on the lockscreen because they dont for me?

No but upcoming calendar events show up in the pulldown. I was tempted to call it the infoshade because I have used LockInfo(a jailbreak tweak) so much in the past.

The consensus so far is that beta 2 is significantly slower than beta 1 for some reason.
Well I dont even know if youre on the same beta as me if your saying that! Beta 2 is so much faster than beta 2.

The only bug that bothers me is the media controls not popping up when watching a video in mobile safari or any other browser app for that matter.

annoying bug in beta 2 - Calendar seems stuck on displaying Sunday as the first day of the week (used to be Monday on my phone for iOS 4.x, and also iOS 5 beta 1 as I recall)...

My complete camera roll did not restore... pretty pissed bout it.

The only person you should be pissed at is yourself. Apple very clearly states to not install iOS beta software on your daily device. This is 100% your fault. I'm sorry your screwed up so badly.

I completely disagree, it seems a lot more stable and faster

This...

Beta 2 is CRAZY faster than 1, as well as the battery performance has been completely fixed on this one. Beta 1 was draining by battery twice as fast.

As far as I'm concerned, this is literally one of the most stable "betas" i've ever tested...

Biggest issue I've hit has been that my camera has been incapacitated. The on-screen shutter opens for just a split second, then re-closes, never to open again. What has me worried is that it has persisted across multiple restores... Including back to beta 1 and 4.3.3

Anyone can get it. Installing it is the question.
;)
You don't need to be a developer but you do need for your device's harware ID to be registered with a developer.
Beta-1 didn't even require that but beta-2 may have closed that loophole.

Agree totally with you. Beta 2 runs much smoother than 1. The battery with Beta 1 alone was enough to get me to revert back to 4.3.3. The battery issue for me at least has been fixed and is very acceptable for my needs. I honestly don't notice a difference in battery from 4.3.3 to Beta 2. Besides an occasional Safari crash here and there it's pretty stable for everyday use. Like a previous poster said, the Wi-Fi sync is a great feature. Hope this helps.

The only complaint I have is the broken Copy/Paste in Safari and the fact that Safari crashes WAY too many times now.

Works decently well for me.

-When replying to a status on Facebook, the app is unable to connect and post the response.
-After replying to a thread in Tapatalk, the entire app goes wonky and you have to close and restart the app.
-I can only watch 4 video replays in MLB At Bat app before I have to close and restart the app.

-Maps acts up from time to time.
-Voicemails don't delete. They just come back when the phone is restarted.
-No FaceTime. :(
-Gets kinda slow over time. Restarting the phone fixes it.
-A little sluggish
-Battery life could be better...

Other than that, it's just fine. Definitely better than Beta1
