Nobody knows except for Apple but going by their past schedule of every other Tuesday for new beta releases it is a possibility, beyond that nobody can say.

Will iOS 5 beta 2 arrive today?

Do you expect an expert answer, or are you speculating?

I'd imagine it'll be released when the testing for Beta 1 is no longer necessary and Apple has enough fixes to deem a second Beta necessary. Other than that non-answer, I see no reason to expect anything on a particular day or date. It's not like a product release, which are still unpredictable to a degree.

iOS 5 beta 2

An OTA Delta update will roll out @ 5:00 p.m. Central time today 6/21/11.

That's not necessarily true actually, previous iOS betas typically come out every two weeks, judging only by how Apple has done it historically. Meaning sometime this week we should expect to see an update for iOS 5, but nothing is ever really guaranteed.

I didn't try the OS 4 Beta but decided to give iOS 5 a try which I've loved but obviously very buggy. Did Beta 2 resolve a lot of bugs found in OS 4's Beta 1 ?

I had to read it a couple of times, too...I thought he was asking about iOS 5's beta.

In answer to the question, yeah, they typically will iron out some issues. Not necessarily the most glaring issues, but it'll come in time.

Like I've said before, I had the iOS 3 and 4 betas, and this has been, in my opinion, the most stable beta yet. Besides the serious drain on battery life and a few broken apps (Netflix, Hulu), I haven't really had anything that was that big of a negative impact.

Futhark was referring to iOS 4 beta 2, if it had resolved a lot of the issues seen in iOS beta 4. Not referring to iOS 5 beta 2.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/534.32 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8F190 Safari/6533.18.5)

I just got the delta update for beta 2

Too be honest the iOS4 beta 2 was more buggy than the first. Even if certain things are fixed, there's always potential for bigger or more problems in the succeeding beta. This first iOS5 beta is pretty stable. I dont know that I would even upgrade to 2...

I am getting a little different response when checking for an update. It flashes. coming?

Edit: my wifi is also acting up, so maybe it is flashing "checking for updates" due to this....

Tuesday is done: it saw Final Cut Pro and Time Capsule updates. That's it.

There's a chance for tomorrow or Thursday. If not, Monday/Tuesday next week is 99% guaranteed.

Apple's prolificness is ********** amazing. In the last month, we've heard about iCloud, Lion, MacBook Airs, Final Cut Pro, new iWork software for iDevices, Time Capsules, AirPort Extremes, and a new iPhone coming out soon. It's freaking amazing how much stuff they are constantly putting out.

Are you that desperate for an update?

Could you clarify by "flashes?" Wi-Fi hasn't been great in this build, that's probably why.

I honestly don't think this build will be released over-the-air. Maybe the next one, though.

I apologize if I'm missing something, but didn't you just re-affirm what I said? It's not guaranteed even though some product launches and whatnot are on certain timelines.
