For some reason you can't turn the preview off in my build. Am I the only one or is this happening with everyone?

When I received a txt on beta1 and 4.x.x I had the previews off so it just said the person contact name and "text message". Now it shows a preview of the txt message and I cannot turn it off in settings.

Nope, no pop ups. Even if it was that shouldn't matter as that was what I had with IOS 4.x.x and I had previews off.

Oddly enough, now its using the older notification listing from beta 1. It changed in beta 2 and now its back to the old format. Without any settings changes on my end.

Between now and the GM build, several things will be changing, get used to it.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/9A5248d Safari/6533.18.5)

It's I'm notification settings for messages, not messages settings

Odd, yes this is how my settings are. Sometimes I still get a preview sometimes not. Oh well, just a bug.
