Are there any apps similar to Auto3G (for iOS4) that allows you to choose what to disable, when your device is locked? You can disable 3G (to EDGE), or turn off all radios altogether. It is re-enabled when you unlock your device, providing greater battery life and breaking roving bugs.

Or something like "Auto airplane mode on lock, auto unairplane mode on unlock"

Wow, you really just need to throw your phone out. You don't want any of the functions of a phone, yet you still want to have a iPHONE.

Or it may be an attempt to conserve/save battery life.

But the auto-airplane-mode seems complete pointless. Saving battery is one thing, but this would completely delete the purpose of having a phone. It's basically telling people you give your number to "Oh hey, you can only call me when my phone is unlocked but those times will be completely random so good luck calling me" lol.

The turn off 3G I can understand though...it does save battery life. But until then, sbsettings!

If you create a .neo file that has a script, you can put it in your iphone's dradis file, assuming you have it enabled for disk use.

I only posted that comment because he had a 30 plus page thread in general about how to get the roving bugs out of ios and the baseband and disabling 3G/mic/radio/all/any phone functions. All because the mafia is tracking him. He also assumed that the bug had to be there because his CPU usage was at 0.1% or 100% as he stated(I didn't pay a lot of Attn).

How would people call you if your phone turned off all the radios upon locking?
Surely whoever is tracking you could find a way around THAT. As I have found out, airplane mode does not shut off the gps radio. They could track you using that.
