    That's only for iPad.

But there is a 3-day view in landscape.

Get Calvetica. Totally worth it, and loads better.

It has a week view as well...

There is a year view for iPad and a week view on iPhone and iPod touch according to the Apple website.

That pic shows the week view.
3-days are visible on the screen but then you can scroll left and right to get the full week.

Well, I say finally Apple put a weekly view.

Too late though cause i found an app that gives me one that synchs with ical so I still get advantage of mobileme and I found a far better app than ical. Weekly view (Several different types including the style apple uses) and I can see the names of my appointments on monthly view (plus some various small stuff).

What really ticks me off is they actually did a newer version of ical that deproved functionality on my computer (and the iphone's ical is useless in my opinion. You don't even get names of appointments on the monthly view).

Thanks for the information. What about the repeat rule and alarm for iPhone Calendar? It would be handy to set custom repeating rule and alarm with my iPhone. Rather than having to sync from computers. Does iOS5 allow that?

if you flip the iphone to landscape while in the calendar it goes to week view, however because of the size of the screen you can only see 3 days at once and have to scroll over to see the other 2 days in the week

You can also tap and hold on a day to create an event.

Can I say how much I love that iPad year-view?

Looks great. It makes you feel like your life is a theme park schedule!

iOS5 still doesn't support custom repeat rules and alarms. If you really have to do it on iPhone, you'll need third party apps. There are Calendar Tools apps available in App Store. For example, this app claims it can do that. And it is currently being featured on App Store. Here is the link:
