iPhone ios 5 jailbrek. deactivated verizon iphone 4

so i have heard about hacktivating and taking out the sim but the iphone 4 verizon doesnt have a sim so how do i get past it? i just want to use as ipod touch.

also, im on ios 5.1.1 and have never jailbroken or anything.

GSM phones are wildcat activated so they can be hacktivated.
CDMA phones are carrier activated, so they cannot.
