iOS 5 sends the same SMS many times....

It's a mess! iOS 5 betas (all of em) (verizon) when service is very week it takes 5-10 seconds to send the message but the person getting it says I sent it 5x.

Even when in strong service I'll be having a back and forth convo, my message sends, then when I do another message it says "sending 2 of 2" and so on. Seems like ios5 is super slow on SMS

Ps- iMessage is turned off

Anybody else with this issue?

Before anyone mentions that it is indeed a beta, I think the OP knows that and just wants to know if anyone is having similar issues.

Maybe following the advice to have the beta version on a backup handset is a good one.

Happens to me too but I don't think it's actually sending 5 copies otherwise I think the other person would have told me so.

I am 100% aware it's a beta just seeing if anyone else has this issue. Has happened from beta 1 all the way to beta 4 (haven't gone to 5 yet).

I always thought that was just Verizon. I had friends on Verizon that would text me when i was on ATT, pre-iOS5, and I would occasionally get 3 or so texts of the same thing. Thought when i switched to verizon that would go away, but it still happens. Assuming it's happening in weak signal areas.

I mostly see the multiple text problem from blackberries or dumb phones though. iPhone to iPhone has been ok for me. (yes, i mean texting iPhone to iPhone, such as my friends who are not on the iOS5 beta....not iMessaging those that are)

Yea i'm getting the same but nobody has told me im texting them numerous times. I know im having the issue because o2 text me today and said I have no free text left.... I thought "hang on, the only person i bother texting is the wife and there's no way i've text her 300 times in 2 weeks", I only usually use like 50-60 a month.
