ios 5 volume control for docked iphone is gone?

I just upgraded from a 3g to a 4s, and I can't seem to be able to control volume when docked anymore - is this a "feature"?

This feature introduced like 2 years ago with its 3.0

No, I could use it in late ios 3 on my 3g with no problems.

That was my bad, this feature was introduced in iOS 4 last summer.

What kind of dock are you using?
