IOS 5 YouTube App Issue

I have an iPhone 4S, running IOS 5. When I try to use the YouTube app and sign in, it seems to reject everything I try.

If I go into safari, and go to youtube.com and login, all is well.

Is there something odd about the frestanding youtube app? I've tried both screen name and full e-mail address but nothing seems to get accepted.

Any ideas?

No more Google in the Bookmarks in 5.1. No more YouTube sign ins.
Google are dead in Apple's eyes.

That happened to me too, but it turned out I was either typing my username/email/password wrong or I just had to fully restart the app by closing it in the multitasking bar.
