iOS 6.1.4 Volume Problems

Hello, I tried to do a search on the forums for this and did not find the answer. Ever since I updated my Iphone 5 to 6.1.4, the volume buttons on the left won't turn all the way down. I push it and push it and end up with 1 square. I really need to be able to turn my phone down all the way. I am happy I do not have classes this summer, but if I did, this would be a huge problem.

Why would you need the squares to go all the way down, couldn't use just flip the switch? Just wondering..

Yeah I could do this and do use this sometimes. I am just wondering why it changed?

Nothing has changed, I'm still running 6.1.3 and get left with one square as you state.
