The way it handles processes, how much of a toll it takes on the processor, etc, etc, can be changed, thus making battery life better. Also, how noticeable it is, if anything was changed to effect battery life at all, depends on your device and how you use it and if you pay attention to battery life.

After the update my iPhone 5's battery life has been stellar, only gone down 6% since updating over 2 hours ago and using it a lot, usually it would go down like 15% in that period and it has been running just smoother

The entire ios 6 time,I had no push mail for yahoo (in settings ,contacts mail and calendars, fetch new data, advanced) just before the 6.1 update, push showed there and start working, after updating to 6,1 ,it's gone AGAIN!!!! Apple is such a ****

Wifi performance has dramatically improved on my i5. I was getting speeds of 12 mbps over wifi in my living room now i get over 17 mbps over wifi

----------

For the matter, does anyone feel like scrolling feels slightly different now? More of a spring to it? Idk i think im noticing this in Safari

They fixed the app store stutter when sometimes your scrolling thru a list of apps and it would stutter. Doesnt happen on my i5 anymore. Seems to me the app store loads 1-300 top apps alot quicker now as well.

Multi tasking to the app store is better as well, switching in and out of apps and opening the app store opens even quicker on the i5 now

Much smoother app store on my i5 i can tell a big difference

Not to mention wifi is improved aswell in this update...quite noticeably.

is safari snappier...that's all I'm interested in.

in all seriousness, how big is the upgrade?

Well, if this thread was created on your iPhone, one thing we know for sure... the spell checker doesn't work. ;)

A nice update for me on my verizon i5. Safari may seem a little faster but not really but my wifi performance has increased, the app store is alot smoother on iOS 6.1 on my iPhone 5. Just some bug fixes and increased system performance and optimizations. Once ina while i would get a stutter on my i5 but never now. I have been testing it for a little while now

I noticed that when I left my apartment the LTE switched over from WiFi much faster.

I hope it stays like this as it saves me toggling Airplane mode!

Upgraded, but shows 3G instead of LTE. Apparently the iPhone5 does not support all the bands in use here. Well, maybe tomorrow it can find LTE networks somewhere else after I leave home. Kinda bummed though, would've liked LTE at home. Just got to deal with using 10/10Mbps..

I've never seen this before in a multiplayer game, this the air wings game, latest version.

i am not an expert on this, but why blame apple?

outlook (hotmail) and gmail work great - so its hard to believe apple is intentionally targeting yahoo - a decadent company who users who use its services are to blame for their shortcomings.

When you're playing music on a locked phone, if you double press the home button, the layout is different and the play/pause buttons disappear after ~5 seconds unlike before.

yes...

pitty iOS 1.0 isn't available to you... imagine all that was broken along the way.
Cute.

Notice how I said I saw no compelling reason to upgrade. I don't use Siri and everything else brings me nothing I'm gonna use.
