Sounds more like an uneducated guess.

6.0.1 no longer being signed for devices that have 6.0.2 isn't in any way an indicator of 6.1's progress.

Have to disagree- look at the patterns with prior releases as well as the adoption rate of 6.0.2-you will see the update soon.

I agree with Xenomorph.

Apple only signs the most recent firmware for a device, leaving the signing window for older firmwares open for a very short period of time during a brief overlap period.

6.0.2 being released means they closed 6.0.1 so users are forced to upgrade to the latest software, per usual.

It may be coincidence that 6.1 is around the corner though.

In the past three years or so, has Apple ever released an iOS or OS X update on a Saturday or Sunday?

Around January 23rd or 24th. It'd be after they announce earnings.

does it really matter? it contains almost zero changes, so its release wont enhance my phone in any way, thus I think most people couldnt care less about when it gets released.

yes it does matter.

In Denmark we get availability for 4G with our carriers.

So to answer your question again: yes.

never seen a forum with more rude, uncalled-for responses

leave it to the apple community

What would you expect when the thread starter posted a question such as this.
This forum is to try and help people with jailbreak/modification issues.

Threads like this just clog up the forum since no one can answer this with anything but a silly guess.

Those of us who have been here awhile realize how much a waste of space this thread is.

You are in the wrong place to say this forum is about jailbreaking.

You need to go to the other sub-forum to do that.

THIS forum is about IOS 6.

My guess is that 6.1 will be released with an additional feature or two following a March keynote to introduce updated iPads as they have done in the past.

iOS 7 might be demoed at the same keynote.

No, iOS 7 will be demoed at WWDC in June along with the next Mac OS X. And there is no way 6.1 will stay in beta for another 6 weeks. You crazy?
