I have looked for that and see people saying is gone and people saying it went back.

Will iOS 6 have the 3G toggle in settings?

I'm not sure but maybe it depends on what kind of iPhone you have. On my iPhone 4 the option is there, maybe it's not on the 4s? Could someone with a 4s try it?

I'm asking for an iPhone 5. So I think it is a bit soon for that.

if I remember correctly IOS 5 beta also had 3g toggle but they removed it for the final release, so it being in ios6 beta doesn't mean anything

I have an AT&T iPhone 4S 32GB running iOS 6 Beta 4 and I can confirm that the 3G toggle is not present. There is a toggle for cellular data but specifically 3G it is not, so its all or nothing. This may have something to do with the fact that the iPhone 4S on AT&T is running "4G" so having a 3G toggle would seem to be contradictory. For anyone that may be confused here reading this the iPhone 4S "4G" on AT&T is not what many consider to be REAL 4G as in LTE 4G. The iPhone 4S is HSPA+ which AT&T markets as "4G" but really its more like 3.5G since is only 2-3X faster than regular HSPA 3G. 4G LTE however, is MUCH faster, often 10X faster and potentially more since this technology has the room to expand. LTE 4G is expected to be used in the iPhone 5.

So to re-cap, AT&T iPhone 4S does not have a 3G toggle. Most likely due to the fact that it is supposed to be "4G" so a 3G toggle would contradict that point so it has an all or nothing cellular data toggle.

It's the carrier file that enables the option not iOS

I am on a 3G-only network in the UK and the 'Enable 3G' toggle is not on my iPhone 4. I know people on other networks who have this option. It is all down to the carrier.

Which is what I said! Lol

I too am on 3 if I pop my O2 card in the toggle pops up.

I am on a Swiss carrier and I have the 3G toggle on my iPhone 4S.

Fun fact: when I was in the US roaming in AT&T, the toggle was still there, but the text changed to 4G instead of 3G. If I disabled it, I had EDGE only.
