Maps looks to have more detail at the original zoom level for my location, which is good. Plus the main A roads are now in a less-American-looking white colour instead of the green.

I'm not sure whether this counts as a beta 2 or beta 3 improvement, but the download was much more prompt and it installed faster. Also, the progress bar & time remaining indicator were much more accurate.

It took a full 30 minutes for me and downloaded in 5 mins.

Deleting apps is a faster process. There isn't a delay when it asks if it wants to remove Game Center data.

I now have high quality satellite images in my area (South West, UK) and there are new labels for motorways in the UK so they don't look American. (And the labels in maps seem to have better positions than before)

Lets hope the exit right on the motorway bug is fixed.

Anyone in the uk installed this? I just downgraded to 5.1.1 from ios 6 beta 2 earlier and wondering whether to download this or not? Biggest gripe was maps images not downloading correctly ( I know it's a beta etc etc ) any thoughts please ?

Maps data is slowly coming online. When I first updated to beta 3 satellite images for my area where the same blurry images but they are now clear. Not quite as clear as google but 10x better. Hope they switch on local yelp data too. Nearest fuel is apparently 30+ kilometers from me.

On that note, Siri is using km when I set miles in maps settings.
