My 4 (not S) is getting blazing hot and seeing drastic battery drain. 100% @ 8AM and 32% at 11AM with minimal usage.
I'm having this precise problem as well. Very, very hot then battery drain, then off.

I've experienced this with all the iOS versions. Seems to be random too.

That's assuming the OP is even a developer. There seems to be a bunch of armchair "developers" here.

Same problem my iPad 3 stayed allways cool until I did a clean install with iOS 6 this morning.
If I can not resolve it I have to switch back and wait for the next beta to come.

Yes there appears to be an issue somewhere. My 4S is getting very hot, using applications that show cpu usage, the device is stuck at 80-100% cpu usage with most things disabled, this indicates something is crashing somewhere.
The battery currently discharges in less than 2 hours. Looks like I'll need to downgrade.

In certain situations, mine gets hot as well. Not iPad 3 warm-to-the-touch hot, BLAZING hot (for a device). I'm actually surprised it doesn't shut itself off.

I've noticed it on my iPhone 4, as well as quick battery drain. Just waiting on more beta patches to fix this stuff.
It's a Beta !!! Don't be taking a phone to Apple with Beta software. If your unhappy with heat issues go back to 5.1.1 until the 6 final comes out. If the issue is still there THEN it's ok to take it to Apple

They asked if it was backed up and they gave me a brand new iPhone 4s and now it's working like a charm
Clean install on ip4gsm - The battery life definitely needs to be improved, and might cause it to be warmer while charging, but definitely not during regular use.
Same thing happened to me. I was on a phone call and it got so hot in hung up the phone and displayed it's overheating warning screen
Same problem, even getting the temp error. This happened after the last update (ios 5.?) and i can't remember what I did to fix it. I've tried everything, closing out apps, reseating SIM card, power down, hard reset, turning off all notifications and at the end of every day, it starts to burn up and die. I'm over it.
Also, I shouldn't have to not use certain features because of an upgrade.
