It's a joke mate. Seriously I've been telling apple about the issues with Maps since beta 1, and although some of them are fixed, it's a backwards step.
When I moaned about it on here, all I got was BETA!. Point is the back end work hasn't been done properly. The front end app is fine, but the data is poor.

Yes it is. And the pin goes straight on top of it.
Same with Solihull and Stratford upon Avon regardless of what the BBC say

Doesn't happen when I search.
If I search for Birmingham international airport, I get the one in the USA. If I zoom in over the map, the airport isn't even there. I live over the road from it, literally!!!

The whole thing is really really bad. I live in Beverley in East Yorkshire. My town on Maps is called 'Leckonfield'. There is a small village nearby called Leconfield (without the K), but that's just completely unlabelled. As a test I asked Siri for nearby petrol stations and it gave me results 10 miles away...
Most of the pubs don't appear, most of the shops it does list are completely misplaced.

Same with the Tesco near my house.
But luckily new maps believes they've turned it into the world's biggest pub, so win win really.
