iOS 6, On the 19th or when your iphone 5 arrives ?

From reading alot of posts on here it seems lots of users have already sold their current iPhone !

The iphone 5 ships with ios6.

Personally i'll be updating my 4s to ios6 and then watching the unboxing and first thought you tube tutorials, and playing with the instore working demo models before i invest £530 in the next iPhone.

I'm still using an iPhone 4, so I will be updating Wed. to check out some of the new features. When I get the iPhone 5 on Friday I'll check out some of the stuff that isn't available on the 4, siri improvements, turn by turn directions, some of the camera stuff etc. Plus it's only a day and half or two days difference, so it's not like I'll be able to exhaust everything iOS 6 has to offer in that time.

Here's a question related to the topic in question...

I want to do a restore from my iCloud backup (so I have all my old text messages, camera roll, settings etc)

Can I do a restore on the iphone 5 from an icloud backup on my 4 running the latest version of iOS5 or should I update to iOS6 on the 4 before doing a new icloud backup?

I'm sending the 4 off to O2 recycle on Thursday so If I'm going to update to iOS6 I need to do it Wednesday night, backup to iCloud and then wipe the phone... I'd prefer not to have to update to iOS6 if I don't have to.

Anyone got any advice on this?
