What gives? I lost 13% in one hr and phone was in my pocket the whole time. 100 down to 87 after the update

It's not available Ota in uk yet so all I've done is read a couple if threads here concerning iOS 7.0.3 and my battery's gone down 10%.

Epic fail, Apple

I hope you're being sarcastic.

And it is available OTA in the UK.

When 7.0.2 came out my battery dies when there is 22-33% charge. Then I plug in charger and phone charges 30% in under a min.

There's several threads on this .

----------

24 mins later and I'm down to 80% now. 7 % in 24 mins amazing

Sounds like there might be something going on with your phone (hardware and/or software-wise).

Download proper ipsw and install/restore via iTunes. Usually installing/updating via OTA doesn't completely delete/cleanup like it does on iTunes

My battery life is even better on 7.0.3. Did I do something special? nope just the USUAL checklist from an update:

1. Reset network settings
2. Reset settings
3. Restarted the phone

This was installed via iTunes not ota

Bet you Restore from backup didn't you? I never restore from backup and I don't have battery problems so try that! Other than that not sure... My still holding strong

Yep and this as well!

No I did not restore from back up for 7.0.3. For 7.0.2, yes I did because I can't lose my data.

For today's update I simply plugged ip5 into iTunes and let it do the download and update

iOS 7.0.3 battery life even WORSE than 7.0.2

Updated OTA and my battery life seems a little better, although tomorrow will be a better test...

Edit - I did just reset network settings and restart the phone and it went from 90% to 92% battery.

I know for a fact that when I charge my phone to 100 and leave it on the desk for an hr it's still at 100. Well today I did the update left the phone for a little over an hr and I'm at 87. That's a fact right there bud

Not sure but it could be that Spotlight is working behind the scenes or some processes are running initially after the update. I usually find the battery life settles down a day or two after an update. Be patient!

13% over an hr... Been watching videos, surfing net, etc...

I Always do a hard rest after an update... Try that.
