My wife's iphone has been updated to iOS 7.0.4. After the update, the settings icon began showing a red 1, indicating (I think) that an update is available, which doesn't make sense.

I searched through the forum, but couldn't find an answer. Anybody know how to clear this?

Hold both the home and power button simultaneously - wait until the screen goes black and Apple logo appears, then let go.

Let us know if this does the trick.

I tried the restarting it, but it didn't work. I also held down the home and power button, and that didn't work either.

The update was done via itunes.
