Did this actually fix your issue though? I managed to get it back into Notification Centre by doing a reset (power and home buttons) but this didn't actually cause the notifications to come through. The iPad received them fine, but the iPhone didn't.

I'm going to hazard a guess and say Paper has screwed something up server side for iPhone.

At this point I can't say for sure they are coming through as I fixed them last night (during the night) so there were no new posts and now everybody is at work. This afternoon people should start posting and I will see if they come through. All I can say for sure at this point is it now appears in notifications.

I restored from a backup made last week. FB is back in the notification center menu. I guess I won't be messing with Paper any time soon.

Wow I never thought that so much people hat the same issue...

However there is something very interesting: I didn't have the Facebook-App in the notifcation center settings so I restored an old backup from my iPhone 5 onto my iPhone 5s... After doing so, the Facebook-App appeared in the Notification Center Settings

Even though it is in there now and enabled I still do not receive any push notifications from the Facebook-App on my iPhone 5s.

I have resigned now and installed the Messenger-App which does indeed provide Push Notifications...

i don't know if it's paper though because I am from a country where paper isn't available and I still get that issue... I think facebook has some problems with it's servers... It's funny how all theri apps works flawlessly except the main one...

I can report back that even after getting FB to show up in notifications it did not work. Nothing ...nada....no joy :-(

Same goes for me. Which phone are you using?

By the way: on my iPad Mini Retina I am still getting Push Notifications with the Facebook-App (which has been installed on there for about a month or so)... So it seems like they block it for new installations of the Facebook-App only

Ok, so I found a solution thanks to an amazing person on the Apple Communities. What you need to do is: Go to your facebook settings on pc , then to Security. There , on the last 2 things , remove everything about your ios device , on trusted devices and at active sessions too. Then do the restore , this time as new, and then when you install facebook , it should ask for your permission for the push notifications and then it appears in notification center settings and it works. I just fixed mine!

I use Iphone 4s with ios 7.0.4 jb. The same issue... Tried everything and nothings work at all. Finally I download Paper and keep waiting for solution.
Till I'd trying I reinstalled it, installed an earlier version, reboot, delete acc and so on. It worked for hour or a little bit much and then nothing!!! Many people have the same problem, and everyones think it's a mistake of facebook

wow what the ...

I was waiting in my car yesterday when I opened the Facebook app and suddently it asked if I want to receive push messages  I have done nothing prior to that.

Frankly this confuses me even more. I have to check wheather it really works now...
