Hey all

Before i upgraded my iOS to 7.0.6 i had an issue where once my battery level all of a sudden dropped and iPhone restarted and then it went back to normal my battery level.

Now since i updated to iOS 7.0.6 On 2 occasions my iPhone has randomly rebooted, showing apple sign for a few seconds and then going back the normal home screen on my iPhone 5.

Suggestions or solutions? Should I do a full back up and restore? Anyone else had a similar problem? The reboot has only happened on one particular app I use. So i don't know if it will be app related.

thanks in advance.

It's likely app related. Otherwise, wait for the 7.1 update, it does a great job of fixing these crash issues. Should be out in the next couple of weeks.

Hey

thanks for the advice. Okay will wait for the update. I was thinking of getting it booked in at the genius, but then i was thinking it may just be software related and not hardware and they will probably tell me to do a restore as new etc. Hope they hurry up and bring out the update, thanks again..

When I first upgraded to iOS 7 it was *very* unstable. And then I realized it only crashed when I used two apps. Unfortunately they were the two apps I used most so my experience was terrible (until they were updated or iOS was updated).

The good news is that 7.1 betas are much less prone to crash so 7.1 might help you a lot.

thats good to know the 7.1 will be more stable. I am just thinking about the app I use, it is not optimized for iOS 7 not is it yet optimized for iPhone 5 screen. It may be because of that. I thought all apps on the app store have to be optimized for iOS 7.

New apps or new updates need to be optimized for iOS 7 and iPhone 5 larger screen, but an older app that hasn't been updated for a whole will still not have any of that essentially but is still allowed to stay in the App Store so far at least.

ah okay i get you. thanks for the explanation. :)

Wait for the update. If it doesn't resolve your issue just restore as NEW but do NOT restore from backup because the corruption may also be backed up.

Lately I've been having an issue where the phone will suddenly turn off while I'm using it. I will try to turn it back on, and it will give me the battery empty icon and refuse to boot up. After I plug it into charge though, it immediately shows the previous battery amount which many times is practically full.
