iOS 7.1 causes heating?

Since I upgraded my iphone 5, the phone has been heating when doing anything , and the battery life has been decreased a lot. Before the upgrade, my phone would last from 7am until early evening. Now , it's dying around noon.
I will try a fresh install this weekend... I hope things improve...
