So after updating to iOS7 on a 5S, when i unlock my phone there is about 3 or 4 second delay before anything is responsive, like a lag before i can open an app, or type, or anything, even the home button doesn't do anything until the 3/4 seconds is over.

i scanned through a few of the first pages and didn't see anything about this. is this a common or known bug yet?

3 or 4 seconds is a really long time. Are you sure it's that long?

true, closer to 2 seconds but definitely not the instantaneous nature of the last 7.0xx

Pretty sure it's at the very least no different than any of 7.0.x updates as the delay was always there in those, and is generally somewhat faster for most which overall speed improvements when it comes to animations/transitions in 7.1.

It's the same speed as before if not faster. So it's an individual problem and therefore you should set up your iPhone as new.
