So I noticed a very small, pointless item this morning. When you open your home screen and look at the clock it doesn't tick but moves smoothly, but if you long press an icon and make the icons wiggle, it ticks for each second.

I had not noticed the difference when in edit mode. Nice.

Just noticed that in safari, in horizontal mode, the top bar with the carrier and clock are hidden when you scroll down. It gives you a lot more viewable space now.
Only noticed this in beta 5, was it there before??

If I'm not mistaken this is just fullscreen for Safari that was introduced in iOS 6.

Quick Reply NEEDS to happen in iOS 7. Im surprised they haven't included it in any betas so far. We still have Beta 6 and the GM (if they add things on the GM build)

Also. Can anyone post a screenshot of a newly install app on iOS 7 Beta 5. I thought I saw a new "New" banner on an app when I saw a screenshot earlier. Can anyone confirm this.

This is real full screen, no top bar, no bottom buttons, the one you could only get jail breaking

Are you happy with the legibility of text in icon labels? Apple should use a heavier version here of Helvetica Neu that's similar to iOS 6 where icon labels are easy to read.

The clock and date text in lock screen are also hard to read sometimes. I think Apple could increase boldness one maybe two step or add a darker background for the text like in iOS 6. . Apple did iOS 7 in a hurry and removed all the good elements in iOS 6.

One other thing I noticed also is that all menu titles in Apples apps is now normal and not bold. It looks funkey when label text in apps are normal and resides next to option text that is also normal.

At first that bothered me, too, but then I realized I don't really read the app labels. I recognize the apps by their icons. Maybe it's good, then, that the titles kind of fade into the background a bit. I can still read them if I really want to, but now the icons stand out more.

I've been following this thread post by post since the beginning, it has been very informative I've enjoyed reading everyone's pros and cons and opinions.
I wanted to ask a few questions and was hoping someone could answer them for me.
Does the music app have a "play next" option yet, like iTunes now does? I love this in spotify.

Can you turn off the camera noise now instead of having to mute the device?

Now that photos are organised differently in ios, if you sync it with a windows PC does it keep your albums or does it just transfer every photo in time order as it does now? A great bug bear of mine is what is best to do with all my photos. I currently transfer to laptop but as I never use it its basically just a back up.

Cheers
Matt

I'll answer your first two questions.

1) No, there is no play next option in the music app.

2) No, you cannot turn the shutter sound off without putting the phone on mute. In Japan, you can't turn it off at all (legal reasons).

That's a shame, I was hoping they would of added this in a later beta :(

Legal reasons, really? I just find the noise annoying.

Thanks for your reply :)

They still may add it, you never know. But I wouldn't count on it.

Yep, apparently in Japan the noise must always be present, I'm assuming to disuade privacy invading photos..

Finally installed iOS 7 yesterday on both me and my wife phone and love it. Only issue is setting a pic as my wallpaper. The move and scale option doesn't seem to work when I attempt to make the pic fit to the size of the screen. Is this normal or a glitch?

Normal. It's because of Parallax. For the effect to work, the image needs to be scaled largely, meaning there will be image left on each side to be shown when the device is moved.

If you do not want the Parallax effect (and subsequently don't want this image-zooming), go to General --> Accessibilty -->Reduce Motion "On"

Thanks, but that didn't fix my issue. I still can't get the wallpaper to fit the screen.

Either that or Beta 6

If it is still like that in beta 6, it could still be a bug that has not yet been fixed. Beta 6 would tell us nothing (unless it is changed to allow for the full wallpaper to be shown..and even then, couldn't be sure.).

If it's still the same way by the shipping version, it's most likely how they intend for it to be.

Pinch out to close photo

I recently discovered when you pinch out of a photo in the photos app, it closes. I am pretty sure it wasn't there in iOS 6, not sure if they introduced it with this beta or its been there since beta 1.
