Yeah i agree with you, something like NCSettings implemented into the notification or homescreen would be great. But from what i previously listed, is explaining how i cant see them using widgets, as apple already have shortcuts for some things. Lets just hope tho

Samsung will sue them if Apple makes something like NCSettings.

It would also make sense to look into making apps launch faster. If apps would launch in microseconds instead of a second, it would negate the need for widgets.

With iPhone 5 apps launch quite fast, but not quite "widget-fast".

Micro-seconds? Really? You can sense a "few" micro-second? Wow, watching television must be absolute hell for you, given that you are always waiting for the refresh rate to present the next picture. Given that AC current in your home is running at 60 Hz, you must be really tired of waiting for the lights to come on.

I work in engineering where some of our requirements are in microseconds. Communications between the devices can happen even faster.

I suppose I might a bit of an oddball in that sense... Now that you mentioned TV, I do think that could change faster as well. Obviously not with the frames, but with changing channels.

But a good, efficient OS can be even better with 2GB RAM.

Using 3GS, with 256MB RAM, I can't tell you enough just how important more RAM is. It is so annoying having to constantly reload pages in Safari/Chrome. Open 4 tabs, go back to the first one and it reloads.

2GB RAM would be nice, although, while there is quite a bit of pressure from manufacturers and competition, I doubt Apple will do it, they upgrade RAM with "tick" models.

Well, yes, 2gb would be better but your 3GS with 265mb of RAM probably performs better than it would on Android.

it would be nice if the lock screen would be picture only without that ugly slider and that clock "stripe"

How about they fix stupid inconsistencies like not having the "scroll bar" or quick selection in itunes playlist creation and playlist selection like the artist and song screen has. Nothing like scrolling forever to get to a spot if you have a long list.

Apple should introduce Dashboard to the iPhone.
Use the same technology and APIs as Dashboard in OS X.
Not only would this give iPhone users widgets but it would revitalize Dashboard in OS X.

i got an android tablet and a iphone 5, but I like my android widgets, more nifty to get updates without having to pull down the slider. hopefully they put it in
