I have a theory that I'm going to test latter today.

I just found out that nearly all of my music artwork is embedded into the file as opposed to being retrieved from itunes (I think that happened when I transfered all my music from old comp to this one). I'm going to remove all my artwork and the "Get Album Artwork" and see what happens.

I managed to solve my problem of album art not displaying in landscape.

I deleted all of my music from my Mac and also from iCloud (I use iTunes Match), and then I updated iTunes Match so that 0 songs were in the cloud. I then restored my music from a duplicate "music" file, and updated Match again. Then I reset my settings on my iPhone. It works now! :)

Say NO to album art

This is all interesting, but...
I don't want album artwork on my iPhone screen - I just want to see the simple, unobstructed text. Names, albums, whatever, but no images.
Especially where I have one song that I took from a compilation album, the image is meaningless. Is there a way to remove images from Music?

Anyone seen this one? It's been happening to me since iOS 7 on my 4S and continues on my 6. So if I tilt my phone horizontally, then back to vertical, my Music app looks normal, then it refreshes and the album art is gone with this generic placeholder, just did it this morning. Force closing the app doesn't fix it. It seems to just eventually go back to displaying album art.
