iOS 7 Beta 1: Bugs and Problems

Surprisingly very smooth on my iPhone 5.

Bug: While streaming - Spotify and SiriusXM controls don't work via lockscreen. Push them, but nothing happens.

Battery life seems to be lacking. Anyone else? I didn't do a clean install.

I had a similar issue when restoring last night. I had to do a restore from backup manually to get them to work correctly, after having done the update to iOS 7.

I'll try that

EDIT: I left home, turned off the wifi, then I came back, turned on the wifi and connect to my Mac and everything is fine now. lol

I press a song to play and nothing happens. I can use the radio aspect but nothing else.

could somebody help. I've installed iOS 7 (from my dev account), everything installed fine. But if i try to restore my apps from itunes backup, it wont do it. First it shows error in itunes that i need to turn off 'find my iphone'. I did that, then it starts to restore backup, but it stops. I have just photos and messages from my backup, but no apps. Am I doing something wrong?
By the way, it looks fancy 🙂

Posted this in the Siri voice gender thread. A bug in settings app.

Goto Settings > General > Siri.
- Disable Siri
- Enable Siri
- Scroll around a bit
- Disable Siri
- Enable Siri
- Scroll around again (and if needed pull up as much as possible)

Icons start vanishing and are placed in odd locations. Also the previously hidden gender selector shows up (altho doesn't work)

Apps dont really need restoring as they are on iCloud, just go to the appstore then updates then purchased items.

Found another one:

Spotify, when listening your music, go to lock screen, double click home button and longpress the forward button, for at least 3 or 5 seconds. The music starts to bug, and you have to exit the app. Change the music or play/pause won't work

huh? 100s of apps manually from the App Store? i think it should be working like the normal restore 😉

I am going to go back to 6.1.4. The UI is laggy enough on my 4S where I'd rather wait for a more polished beta, and battery life always seem to be an issue with these betas. It was fun to give it a spin though!

message problem

In messages, if I add a contact for the message and that contact has more than one phone number listed, the phone number and not the contact name appear at the top of the message and later in the messages list. Anyone got a workaround

i added the international dialing prefix and the country code and now the name appears rather than the number.

Yes. Although I'm still figuring out the particulars for sure. I think DFU mode and restore will do it, Apple is still signing 6.1.3. My iTunes is now downloading 6.1.3, will post later with results.

this may sound weird but i can hear static noises out of my iPhone 5 on iOS7 beta like on those old radios when u get too close with your phone right before u get a text message

I installed ios 7 again and then choosed to restore from iCloud. now it is downloading all apps

I didn't either and mine seems pretty phenomenal, actually. The same, if not better than iOS 6.

I've been having problems restoring apps from backup, it's been working on it on almost 8 straight hours and still hasn't completed them all. Mostly it would start loading, and right before "installing", it would either go blank or reload. Driving me mad

Open pictures and observe landscape mode.
Switch to landscape mode and then rotate back to landscape mode.
Words and pictures are formatted incorectly.

Yep, same here. Can't accept the cert for my work's WPA2 Enterprise WiFi network.

Also, I don't have ANY wallpapers after loading iOS7.

I can also confirm that for WPA2 PSK certificate, the "accept" button (due to a non-certified Verisign Cert) won't actually do anything. Which sucks big-time, since that's how we get onto WiFi here at work.

My lockscreen controls actually work very well with Spotify. I'm glad they reverted to the iOS 5 buttons as I could never seem to hit the iOS 6 buttons on the first try. It was more like a game to see how many taps it took.
