Although hilarious, the author still makes a point. Yeah the color wheel is generic and there, but who's to say the colored apple wasn't Jonny's inspiration? Going to the beginnings? Color is what made the iMac original so fun with Steve's return.

Hasn't the Phone icon always been green?

Weather - Blue
iTunes - Purple
Notes - Yellow
Music - Orange/Red
Camera - Grey
Messages - Green
Settings - Grey
Facetime - Originally Green

Now they have been refined, but not redesigned. So I'm not sure how the old Apple logo inspired iOS 7 icons if they kept the colors they already had since iOS 1.0

The colors are coming from the 80's, Miami Vice, with a little My little Pony thrown in, or up depending on your taste.😛

lots of white! some black, with teal, purple and powder blue, and colors are BRIGHT. It's exactly what you see in the wallpaper and icons. So I guess we are kicking out the drab earth tones and Gray and going bright neon.

Jony was 17 in 1984, if he did influence the shift, it's the 80's, but this is from a guy who wears nothing but gray? Seems odd.

Steve drew back on the 60's hence the sunflower, safari, leather... trying to make technology more organic, more real life and comfortable. Jony had the aluminum and more futuristic design.
