iOS 7 Home Button and Virtual Keyboard

I would swear that pressing the home button once would launch the Virtual Keyboard in iOS 7. Now when I press it it does nothing. Does anyone else have this problem?

ummmmm, no, I don't think the home button ever did this (please correct me if I am wrong)

It does on an older iPad 1, iOS 5.1.1, Am I confused. 2 presses brings up Multitasking as on iOS 7.

It would take you to the first home screen page which was spotlight and then it opened the keyboard.

Spotlight in iOS 7 is now accessible by swiping down anywhere on the home screen.
