Just had two essential updates in cydia. Now everything is iOS 7 esque. That was fast!

The theme of cydia has been updated.

Just curious if everyone can still see the app and tweak details? Mine isn't even saying if they are compatible anymore. Weird.

I meant what do the updates do, aside from presenting an IOS 7 look?

Just the iOS 7 Theme. He said in the notes that there were still a few issues that were present, but he wanted to push it out so he could move on to the substrate. :)

I've restored back to stock for the moment... Somehow I'm skeptical now... :(

Also I used to get errors while the gzip and one other update used to install... It just wouldn't install those updates... And of course nothings updated it seems... So I'll wait a bit I think...

So I figured it out. Download something else to respring with aside from Winterboard, delete Winterboard, get Mobile Substrate running (reinstall + respring if needed), test spotlight, win.

It used to refuse to install anything... But Cydia 1.1.9 is out... I will JB again and see if it has made a difference...

push notification

why after jailbreaking all push notifications will be disabled?
anyone has the same problem?

Are most of you jailbreaking who are already JB on iOS 6? I'm torn and a little confused with the shadiness of the china bs.

there's nothing shady with the chinese stuff. it has already been explained and reversing the binary (couresy of geohot): http://geohot.com/e7writeup.html

i'd recommend you to stay on iOS 6 jailbroken in the meantime before updating to iOS 7. updating now will just make you lose access to all your tweaks

----------

I have one more dumb question - does anyone know if the jailbreak is compatible on the brand new release of iOS 7.1 beta 3?

iOS 7.1 beta 3 isn't out for developers yet, but my guess would be it should be

----------

All this Chinese app stuff has me spooked, enough to go back to stock.

Too much private data at stake; hopefully someone else releases a jailbreak.

no data is being sent to china, you don't have to worry

Can someone explain why a tweak might work for 7.0.4 but not 7.1b2. Not saying I have encountered one yet (can't get very much) but people seem to be using it as an excuse for staying on 7.0.4.

i'm guessing because the beta versions has buggier code than the public releases

Why would they release this now with 7.1 coming out soon (probably). I'm sure 7.1 will have addressed the exploit.

long short story: it was a race between which group released the jailbreak first and money

some applications ask need to turn on push but I don't see them in notification center
that's my problem

try uninstalling the app and reinstalling it. the push notification popup should occur again and it'll show up in your notification center
