It happens everywhere and Apple has already stated that they are aware of the bug.
You can prevent this by not allowing control center to come up on the lock screen.

Bugs happen with new releases. It's expected with any software, nothing is perfect. Apple will have this patched soon, and it will be a non issue.

Apple is like an easy to read QB and I am a DB. I can read their pass from awhile away and see that they rush their products just to keep their fans happy and they will not say anything because they buy into the cult. Nobody will hold them accountable for their hashed releases that are buggy to the core. Never download iOS updates immediately. People need to learn that lesson. Not to the level of Apple's bugs. Android 4.4 will have less bugs for sure.

Apple really needs to implement a full lockdown lockscreen option. Where all you can do is swipe to unlock. No playing music, emergency dialing, answering calls, silencing alarm, &c. Just complete and total lockdown for people with sensitive information.

Good point but, I think they have no choice but to make the emergency dialing available (correct me if I'm wrong). And if so, then it's probably far more convenient for most people to be able to answer a call by simply clicking "answer" then having to unlock and clicking and therefore risking to miss that call.

Usually, the more secure a solution is, the less convenient it is.

I don't understand why we 'lock' our phone, but oh, I do want easy access to this, or to that, or to do this fun little feature. Lock the mother up. Period. I get it, it should work. One of the first things I did was disable my control center from showing up in the lock screen. Duh . . . . :)

I guess you don't have children or prankster roommates then! ;)
I want to be able to have an easy (and fast) access to some features while blocking other (even friendly) people to do the same. Locking is not only to deter thieves, but also to let *you* have (a certain) control over when/what other people see and do with your phone.

Sorry dude. This is only happening on your iPhone with iOS 7. My iPhone o tryed multiple times and did not succeded. FORTUNELLY! : )

Sorryyyy... rsrsrs

I can reproduce this security bug on my iPhone 4 with 7.0.0, and not only with the clock app but also the calculator.

I've only been able to replicate this by having the password lock come on after one minute so between 0-59 seconds, I was able to do this hack...No dice after the lock comes on. Is it possible Mr. Bender Bending Rodriguez did not have his phone set to lock immediately?

Prankster alert though: You can still post to Facebook when the phone is totally locked by telling Siri to do so...Just say "post to Facebook" and have at it. Find your friend's phone and tell the world that he is a XXX Brony cosplayer.

Oh no now this. WTF Apple!!

I can replicate the lockscreen bug on my 4S even if it is set to passcode lock immediately

This is not a security issue

This is a very misleading video, and does not actually show a vulnerability in iOS7, just a bug...

The exploit only works if you have already unlocked the phone.. If you have the phone actually locked (ie have to enter a password on the swipe to unlock) then when you get to the multi-task menu, the previews of all the apps are blank, and its impossible to click on them and open them..

While its is a bug, its not a security issue, and the video poster has cleverly scripted his video to make it look like its actually a security issue by unlocking the phone just before he does the exploit... Probably just to get some more views...

I'm sure I'm not the first to say this but if the people who discover these security flaws are so concerned about everyone's security, then why don't they quietly tell Apple about them rather than post details of how to do it ALL OVER THE INTERNET?

Correct... Obviously, they didn't care.

But they seemed to also miss another important point, its not only photos and email...

Its EVERYTHING !!

Try this.. Access the camera app from the lock screen, then click Home button and the world is your oyster :)

If i remember rightly, Apple has this exact same security issue from the lock screen by-pass, in the past as well.. Yes, they fixed it, but now it re-appears..

When will Apple even learn. And they say "Security is important to us"

Is doesn't take a genuis to know this, and release an Update IMMEDIATELY..

What possible other causes could be so important they have to think about it......
