Seems like most discussion on the forum is regarding the iPhone. What about iPad users on iOS 7? Thought I'd share a few of my early observations on Beta 3:

One of my biggest gripes so far is the wasted folders space. Before it was nice being able to hold 16 apps in one folder vs 12 on the iPhone. And while you can now have multiple pages in each folder, the new folder view is only 9 icons! What the hell is that about?! A serious step backward IMO.

Also haven't seen any mention of the top toolbar disappearing in Safari. Doesn't appear as though it does which would be nice. Free up more screen space just like on iPhone.

Slide to unlock at the lock screen. On the iPhone you can go both left to right and right to left. On the iPad you can only go the old left to right.

Opening folders when you're editing apps always defaults to the last/empty page. Not sure why it wouldn't just default to the first page.

Anyone else?

I agree, the bookmark bar on Safari is missing, and it's a feature I've been longing since I updated to 7, I hope it comes back. I don't know what you mean about swiping right to left of the lock screen, it's seems to behave the same way as the iPhone.

Cheers

I have ios7 beta on my iPad 2. It is quite slow. It pauses and is sluggish quite freuqently.

The next font and UI it ugly on a non-retina screen. I did not feel the need to upgrade to a retina screen previously but with iOS 7 it makes a noticable difference.

I often only get a screen showing just the wallpaper with nothing else when I try to activate multitask on my iPad 3. Happens sometimes only, though. I had to hard reset it then it'll be fine again.

It was slow and laggy on my iPad 2 for the first hour after I updated it (and did a hard reboot)...

Performance becomes better then... so am not complaining much... I think it behaves similarly to my iPhone 5... remember when I first updated it to iOS7 beta 1, it was laggy and then improved after an hour of usage...

Can't please everyone. I remember when folder first came out, people said it was weird that it showed 9 icons when closed, and 12 icons when open. Now it makes more sense especially since it zooms into the folder and you get a sense of space in the OS. It's a good trade off for having multiple pages in folders I think.

i too have the bookmark bar on the ipad mini running beta 3......however it is barely visible because the font color is off, but it is there.

I'm running B3 on both an iPad 3 and iPhone 5. And the lock works the same on both, have to go left to right.

I love the new Safari on iPad. Both styling and it's so much faster.

My biggest complaint on the iPad iOS 7 are things I'm sure they haven't gotten too yet. The Music app is just a blown up iPhone app. There is so much wasted space, but seeing as the iPad beta was behind to begin with I think its safe to assume they are pressed for time.

Nope, it's not...

Activate it in Settings, restart Safari, there it is.

It doesn't disappear but I wish it would.
I hate having all my tabs visible at once.
Shame that the iPhone gets the cool scrolling tabs and the larger-screened iPad doesn't.

Awesome! Thank you very much!

You're welcome. ;)

The current way of showing and switching tabs is much faster than the iPhone-way would be. They could implement automatic fullscreen, but that's about it, at least for me.

I am not having any issues with B3 on an iPad 4.

All seems well, apart from battery life. That seems a little shorter than it used to be.

Since IOS7 though I think I will be using folders less on the iPhone AND the iPad. It is a shame to hide all the pretty icons away. At the moment 3rd party icons look out of place but I'm sure when they update them to fit in with the new colour scheme they will be ok. Using Spotlight is a quicker way to find & launch an app than opening up folders I think.
