Finally got around to upgrading my iPhone 5 to IOS 7 over the weekend. I'm seeing a very strange glitch. Here are the steps to reproduce:

Hold the phone horizontally the whole time
1) open Safari. The screen correctly rotates into landscape
2) lock the phone
3) press home then slide to unlock. the screen will quickly rotate left into portrait then immediately back into landscape.

This is extremely annoying. I tested in portrait mode and it doesn't do it. Only landscape does. I also tested with the phone in the opposite horizontal (flipped the other way) and it still does this. Tried it on another iPhone with IOS7 and its doing the same thing.

EDIT: the issue occurs regardless of the app used. It isn't just with Safari. It's like the phone rotates into portrait then back to landscape every time you unlock it

Anyone know of a workaround?

I have this issue too - it's frustrating. The only work around seems to be a restart of the device.

Sadly Apple did not fix this with 7.1 (submitted bug report x2) and, for me, this is the last straw. My next phone will be an Android device.
