iPhone iOS 8.1.1 BETA patched PanGu (confirmed by PanGu dev.)

Yeahhhh managed to reserve my iPhone 6 Space grey. Going to pick it up later today. Hopefully Apple doesn't release 8.1.1 in the meanwhile
 
Let's say an iPhone comes with iOS 7.x pre-installed and you want to update to 8.1 (to jailbreak) but 8.1.1 already is out.

Is it possible?

Nop not possible. Only if you're lucky enough to have both signature windows open (8.1 and 8.1.1) but it lasts for only a couple hours

Not if you keep the iOS 8.1 IPSW. Then you can restore manually. But ... the previous OS version usually only works for a few hours to a few days.
 
I went and picked up a new iPad Air 2, and it has 8.1 already on it. "newer" phones out of the release window should have 8.1 on it already. It'll be a little bit of time before new shipments of phones have anything higher than that.

I think I'm just going to stick with 7... I don't need iOS 8, whereas I do "need" (or at least very much want) some of the tweaks that I have, but aren't available for iOS 8 (yet).

I'll just live vicariously through the rest of you 😉
 
The only thing I really miss is Social Duplicator that allowed me to have multiple copies of any app installed. I have three Facebook accounts and this allowed me to have a FB app installed for each one. I was still able to sync all of those three FB apps to my iPad/iPhone, they just don't open even though I had to install app sync beta to get them to install.

I can block all ads by using untrusted hosts blocker which has been updated.

Other than social duplicator, I am not missing anything else. Happy I updated and JB.

Yeah!!! Done! Can't believe I picked a perfect iPhone no sign of any defect and I'm already jailbroken. Thanks for the help guys
 
Shoo-wee! I managed to find a 6+ today (sg 128gb unlocked!) and right now updating to 8.1. Super happy to be in before the patched OS drops...
