Is anyone else not able to search for an app on their phone using spotlight? I made sure in Settings that Applications is checked under the Spotlight section but I can't make it work anymore.

Ah now it's working for some reason. Someone mentioned that the phone needs to re-index or something like that.

    Mods, please close this thread!

This problem happened sporadically for me in 8.1.1, so it'll probably be back for you in 8.1.2.

Hi same issues with spotlight search. After reboot it works for a while then stops again.

Same problem here on iPhone 6 immediately after update to 8.1.2. Rebooting phone, turning off Applications in settings, turning it on again and still no go. Then on a hunch, I connected to iTunes and synced. Then it started working. Hmmm. We'll have to see if it continues to work. I had no problems after updating iPad Air....Only with my iPhone 6.
