A hard reset/battery calibration defitnetly will help, let the OS index it self (day or two process not even) after a update...could also aswell be conflicting apps..post battery usage screenshot picture?

All those things you said are ridiculous. except no signal, now thats an issue. you have had like an hour to judge and even you said that you were doing "nothing" after the update. Then a sentence later you say oh, except for that video I watched. Point is people tend to not realize what they are doing that causes a batteyr drain. A million factors also are involved. If you were in a spot that had poor signal your battery could suffer. Not to mention that battery meters are NOT 100% accurate. your battery could have drained to that point during your update but the algorithm did not adjust for it until a short time later. Come on, making this thread after an hour is ridiculous and you should get atleast a 24hr stat before you say there may be a problem.

Not sure if I just read that right. Are you seriously saying phones bending isn't an issue to post about? What?

I said I showed someone a 20 second YouTube video, not a movie.

I already noted that I don't think its a huge problem and that I will wait for further updates, but I'm not going to sit around and at least not note that it happened. How do I know someone's not having it worse than me? People is Australia noted their cell connection dropping pretty quickly (in fact now and again mine drops) -- they didn't wait to post something a few days later.

Again, you're all right I should have waited longer and I've charged it back up to 98%, things are looking fine now (it's still at 98% while typing this). But I must make it clear that I didn't know what's going on and thus I felt I should make a thread to see what others are reporting. Frankly I'm upset it's turned into an argument about if I should have made the post in the first place.

Edit: and here's that video http://youtu.be/YZf0Q-v3u-k

Full charge on my phone. Left my house. Turned on hotspot, put phone in pocket. Been at doctors office checking out macrumors on my ipad for the last half hour. Saw this post, checks phone. Sees phone shows 97%, from 30 min hotspot use. Sees battery is not an issue as it's working just fine. Gives a thumbs down on this thread.

Yes that's what were all saying. The phone doesn't bend unless someone bends it. My gaxaxy s4 is bent because I bent it. I didn't see people with old razor phone's breaking their phones just because they were easy to bend. Flip phones were easy to break, but I didn't hear any controversy about that. You know why.......... Because people weren't stupid enough to purposely break their phones.

You have a point. I'll add though that I treat this thing like a fine diamond. Never put it in a position that'll put strain on it or such. In fact after I saw the bend complaint here (yes here, not UnboxTherapy) I took my phone out of my pocket whenever I sat down even though my pants were loose... You can imagine the disappointment on learning there was a slight bend. Ah well... Not too fussed because it's not big. I'm just saying something happened even though I was careful. Never happened with any previous Android phone wasnt bent and in fact I've never bent an iPhone or flip phone (ah, the Razer Craze days)

That is exactly what I am saying. It was only an issue because people MADE it an issue. Im sure it happened to a few but it was NOT an issue. Even then I would not blame someone for posting that right away, nor would i for NO SIGNAL. Those things are definitive. Either it is bent or it is not, either you have signal or you don't. My point was just that so many things contribute to battery and you gave it so little time before "Freaking" out. Its just that the hysteria threads are getting old.

8.1 has destroyed my battery life as well. I could consistently get over ten hours of use out of my 6 Plus on 8.0. But since upgrading to 8.1 this morning, I'm currently on track to get about six hours.
