iOS 8.2 and Safari epic bug... Are you kidding me?

This is still really frustrating. So strange it's happening on only some of our devices. But for me it's consistent on my iPad and iPhone on multiple wifi locations and LTE.

I wonder if it's some corrupted setting or key or something that only some of us have.

I really feel like I'm running beta software these are the kinds of problems I just deal with on the betas... it's very frustrating.

Yeah, I have this issue. It is do frustrating! Safari refuses to do anything at all! When I enter an address it freezes. I can't do anything - if I close the app (from the multitasking menu) it loads up anew (bookmark page), but freezes again if I try to go to a website. I've tried everything and nothing fixes it. So now I'm using Chrome because Safari is literally unusable

Unfortunately, no one can be told how long the Epic Bug really is. You have to see it for yourself.

There is still a lot of work to be done with safari in ios8, for a lot of people safari is the most important app on a tablet, if doesn't work ok the tablet becomes almost useless

I have an Enable 3G switch where voice and data should be, it wasn't there before, it showed up after installing activator

I get this regularly with Safari. Sometimes opening a link or typing in an address and hitting go causes Safari to freeze up, but if I leave it 5-10 seconds, it'll get there eventually and load the webpage. It'll also load my taps when it was frozen (e.g. bringing up bookmarks bar or address bar).

This only started for me with 8.2. It's only a few weeks old which is why it's so frustrating.

Does anyone think or know if clearing website history and data will fix this? I don't want to lose that info so I haven't tried it but I will if it will fix the problems

Since I'm seeing this on both devices I'm wondering if it's something that syncs between them like history. I've tried turning off icloud and nothing.

This really is a showstopper for be because every time I go to use safari- 75% of the time it's unresponsive and I have to force close and wait.

I had the same problem. With an iphone 6 and an ipad3

I reset the phone and nothing


Then I went to the apple store. The guy told me to close the tabs in safari ( i had like 7). I thought what the.... is this the only thing he's able to say?

But it worked, as silly as it sounds
