I admit, I installed before I read the notes. But, seriously.. How do you regress a feature like that and still release the beta?!?

Simple, you revert the change you made to fix it because it caused a bigger issue elsewhere.

Regressions are common in betas, it's a way to figure out if a fix will work fine without causing other issues. If it didn't work, revert and test if it is stable. If yes, release another fix later.

However, you can't stall the development just because of a single revert, gotta keep moving and release a fix in later update.

Apple is rushing to get 8.2 done in time for the Apple Watch release that's rumored for March. Which means the iOS 8.2 must be released before March, regardless of what bugs it may still contain. 8.3 or 9.0 will have to get the fixes instead.

- Apple Watch Bluetooth support.
- Music playback from iTunes in the Cloud does not work in this beta.

Bugs: Weather app lag is back when expanding a city.

I need to see a fix in the painfully slow and buggy Spotlight search.

In over five years of owning iPhones I've never once used Spotlight. Plenty of other bugs bother me on numerous occasions every single day though...

Installed this on my iPhone 5. So far so good. Seems pretty solid.

Is it possible to restore back to 8.1.2 without doing a restore?? I think I did it before but I'm not sure

iOS 8.2 beta 3 onwards has been totally underwhelming. Maybe beause they are not concentrating on fixing previous bugs. They just want to get Watch kit SDK out as early as possible and introduce even more bugs with the rushed release.

Judging by changelog it seems that iOS 8.1.3 will be nearly same as iOS 8.2 beta 4, just without watch-kit integration so far.

1: Open Settings, iTunes & App Store, disable automatic updates.
2: Wait for an update, download & update device through PC/iTunes.
3: iOS App Store icon available updates badge is not cleared and will stay that way until a new update changes it.

Notified Apple of this bug at 8.0.2 which was closed as duplicate. Several updates later it still exists. Not sure what is going on at Apple these days, this seems to be an extremely simple bug to fix. I converted to Mac a few years ago and had a couple months enjoying the stability of Snow Leopard, sadly, iOS & OSX have been heading down hill since then.

After almost 24 hours, the Facebook app is still horribly slow. Once everything loads, all is well, but if I get a notification and try to view it, nothing happens. I have to exit out of the app, and leave it sit for a few minutes before everything will appear.

Anyone else having similar issues?

Same exact thing is happening to me.

I'm asking that because I want to downgrade back to 8.1.2 but I can't restore from backup since I'm up 8.2 beta. And I have a lot of stuff I don't want to get deleted. Any ideas how to downgrade and still keep all my stuff on my phone ?

I Was On iOS 8.2 Beta 3 But I Wanted To Go On 8.1.2 But I Knew If I Restored To 8.1.2 Then I Couldn't Restore Because The Backup Is On An Older Firmware So I Download 8.1.2 IPSW & I Plugged My Phone Into iTunes & Hold Down Shift & Clicked On Check For Updates Then The Window Comes Up, Select The 8.1.2 IPSW & It Gonna Update. Wait For It & When You're iPhone Restarts You Should Be Good. Thats How I Found My Way Around It, Hope It Helps You.

Thank you very much I'm going to do that! You didn't lose anything on your phone when you did that ?

Same here. Text in the status updates seem to load fine. Images, links and comments take forever to load, if at all.
