iOS 8.3 beta 1 Bug Fixes and Changes

8.3 beta 1 is out....

New Features / Updates to existing functionality:
- Wireless CarPlay support
- Google login for 2 factored accounts
- New emoji layout, with single-page horizontal scrolling with category jumps
- It removes the 'beta' label on iCloud Photo Library
- Apple Pay gains support for the China UnionPay network
- Moved iTunes Store and App Store password settings to under the username in iTunes Store and App Store. (Some strings not yet translated)
- Apple Watch Settings app has been added to the iOS 8.3 simulator
- Additional carriers now have LTE/3G/2G voice & data toggle
- LTE/wifi calling location service added to system services
- Safari add to favorites & request desktop site pull down from URL bar is more visible & easier to read
- Health.app toggle added to motion & fitness privacy settings
- When backing up manually in iTunes the iPhone screen turns white with a progress bar until backup is complete. (possibly Encrypted Backups only)
- Photos app-> Albums displays an icon overlay for each Album to indicate the type of pictures it contains such as a stretched icon for Panoramas

Bug Fixes:
- Deleting an iCloud tab in Safari is now fixed
- It's now possible to write app store reviews with third party keyboards
- Upside down unlock issue fixed on iPhone 6+
- Vibrate for mail is finally fixed, now it's one vibrate as it should be, not a double.

New Bugs:
- App update pie chart and blue dot now displayed when updating existing apps (wasn't displayed at all during app updates in the last few releases) - working intermittently
- Copy/paste menu disappears within 1 second in many apps like Evernote. (Bug also present in 8, 8.1 and 8.2 B5)
- 61-59% bug still present.
- Status bar may hold larger lockscreen font for a few seconds upon unlocking your device
- Now Playing menu not present after closing and reopening Music app. Phone no longer resumes last played playlist.
- Pages renders incorrectly, as if screen scale is not recognized correctly.
- Video Camera Slow Mo mode. 240 FPS selection is gone. 120FPS only.
- Attempting to comment on a shared iCloud photo results in a blank white screen, must force quit photos app to fix
- Music app mixes artist with another name for certain albums.

Status bar appear while Apple apps are in landscape mode?

Can anyone confirm?

I know it's a bit early but can someone with A7 devices share their opinion regarding the performance, UI smoothness, keyboards. For example, does Control Center still hangs in the middle of the animation when dragging it up really quick? Or are A7 ipads better? Thanks in advance!

I just want to allow 3rd party keyboards on the lockscreen, you wouldn't think it would be too much to ask!

I don't think this is a bug, so much as a conscious security decision on Apple's part. You're essentially allowing a third-party process to run outside of the system's security lockout and display a full custom user interface. There is no precedent for allowing this as far as I know, and there are cases where it could be a problem. For instance, SwiftKey's autocomplete is very aggressive and with a few letters you can reveal a wealth of personal information about what the user typically types, including passwords in some cases. For instance, my Amazon.com password ended up in SwiftKey because Amazon's password field did not properly identify itself as a secure password field.
 
Someone check if dynamic wallpapers still reset when switching between apps and the home screen.

I know it's not a bug, and I know why they do it, however there is precedent now that they allow notification center widgets on the lockscreen. Obviously it should be a toggle, but it wouldn't be the end of the world if under the Full Access toggle was a toggle for lock screen. No one other than me touches my phone and even if they did I'm not concerned about that sort of thing. I just want to have a keyboard on the lock screen again.
 
- Updated font in the Camera App
- Changed UI for Passbook and adding a card
- More padding between icons in the share sheet (same as between homescreen icons)

Is the bug fixed where the status bar shows while viewing attachments in Messages? Such as...

This happens on devices with A8 too.
 
hope it fixes the issue where the phone doesn't let me open control centre from the lock screen :mad:
