When updating to 8.3 did anyone else experience an issue with their text messages/ imessages disappearing when they become too old? On both my 6 plus and the girlfriends 6, when we scroll up to view previous messages in our conversation it jumps back to almost 3 months ago instead of the previous days conversation. If you try and scroll up again it just jumps back the current point in the conversation. Very frustrating problem that seems to only be happening in one thread(the longest thread I happen to have on my phone)

Anyone else with really long text message threads having this problem after updating to iOS 8.3?

No, we both have it set to keep messages forever. Neither of us experienced this issue until updating to 8.3. I just confirmed with another friend who is still on the 5 that he and his girlfriend, who is on a 6 plus, are having the same issue.

yes i just noticed this the other day. i had text messages that were only a few days old disappearing. really strange that the messages delete but any media shared still appears there.

do you have delete after 30 days + enabled?

no

Oddly enough I just noticed the same thing last night when trying to find an older message I'd received. There was a gap in the history from early April 2015 back to January 2015. It appears that if you drag down from the top to reload messages they all start reloading in chunks, or at least that's what it's doing on my 5S. I also don't have the auto-delete enabled.

I'm having the same issue. Really frustrating when it's important and it seems to be gone and won't come back even after scrolling up and loading more text

iOS 8.3 Messages Bug

I was having this issue but it seems to be okay now, not sure exactly way though. I didn't change any settings or do any updates since.

i have this happen everyday while using swype. ill enter a message thread and go to reply and notice it scrolled up about 10 messages or so. happens almost half the times i go into a thread.

On the topic of imessage's bugs, anyone notice that when you want to send someone a photos you just took, it sometimes doesn't show up the first time you open camera roll?
