I am trying to get e-mails and text messages to display on my car's information screen. I have an iPhone 5s.

I went to BOTH the manufacturer's website as well as a few enthusiasts' forums and read that in order for this to work I need to enable "Show Notifications" under the Settings --> Bluetooth --> My Devices (i.e. select car name) --> I icon.

The problem is that I don't have this setting! What do I need to do to get this setting to appear?

Worth noting, I have checked other iPhone 5s and they have this setting.

If I go to Settings > Bluetooth, My Devices shows the devices that I have paired with previously and the i Icon is on the far right of the line for each device. Possibly after pairing with the car you will have the Show notifications option on the page the i Icon opens?

Appreciate the thought but not joy! I cannot get Show Notifications to appear regardless of whether I am in or out of the car.

In addition, on the other iPhone 5s' that I looked at, the Show Notifications shows out of the car as well.
