There's some speculation that iOS 8.3 beta 2 is faster on older devices than iOS 8.1.3, based mostly on two videos that compare iPhone 4s and iPhone 5 performance using devices running both versions of the operating system.

If you're running iOS 8.3, have you seen speed improvements over iOS 8.1.3?

Why do I keep thinking 8.3 will be the best iOS 8 release, only to let 8.4 destroy everything to force a phone upgrade...?

Chances are there wouldn't be 8.4 and things will end up with 8.3.x (kind of like they ended up with 7.1.2 for iOS 7).

All I can see in those videos is that iPhone 4S, being an old phone, is still perfectly usable with iOS 8.1 and will be usable with iOS 8.3

Sure, it's not blazingly fast, but all the whining on this forum is ridiculous....

Well there's an obvious sttutering on the scrolling. Aside from that nasty quirk is quite acceptable.

But probably is since the new Apple music streaming service will be released later this summer.
