iOS 8 - 3rd party music apps not playing non itunes tracks?

Hi there,

Just came back to iOS on 6 Plus from a one year stay on Android. I installed a couple of music apps because Apple's basic app is just not that good.

I have a problem though, none of the apps I installed seem to want to play the songs I have there that don't come directly from itunes (but they play in the stock app). I have Ecoute, Groove and Beat installed and they all do the same thing. Is that a bug? Or a problem with my settings somehow?
