iOS 8 GM Release Date?

I read something somewhere that was suggesting next weekend. I know that it probably isn't right but I just wanted to throw that out there.
No. It'll be released, as usual, on the day of the iPhone event. That date is likely to be September 9th.
They will not release it before then, because it would leak tons of new information regarding the new iPhones.
Sept 9th. The day of the iPhone 6 event. It will be available to developers later that afternoon.
OK. I'll go along...Sep 9th. But only if the phones will be immediately available. If the phones go on sale Friday, the GM might be released on Thursday Sep 11.
This is how it will work:
Sept 9 - iPhone 6 announced and iOS 8 GM released
Sept 12 - iPhone 6 preorder
Sept 17 - iOS 8 Public Release
Sept 19 - iPhone 6 available for purchase
Why do you keep refuting what everyone is saying? Apple releases the GM builds the same day they announce the new hardware. Do a web search if you need to see it for yourself cause you clearly must not be aware of this. You don't need to be spreading misinformation or refuting people who know what they're talking about.
No one is really playing it off as fact, just what's more or less likely. The GM would be released on the day of the hardware event Apple is going to have. That's pretty much established as that has generally been the case with previous releases/announcements (although sure Apple can do something different this time, just like pretty much anything can happen in the future). The actual date of that event (and thus the GM) is not known for a fact, but at this point is very likely to be Sept. 9.
You think we'll be able to PRE-order again this year?
We could only order last year with the 5s and that resulted in NOT getting it on release day through the door.
Apple has released the GM the same day as the iPhone event for the past 3 years. You don't need sources or rumors to know that it will most likely happen again this year.
