My volume constantly is rising since iOS 8 update so frustrating can't do anything on phone, voice control keeps going off on its own too.

Same here with my iOS 8 iPad Air. It's, literally, unusable now.
Have to type this on my iOS 7 iPad Mini.
I have a feeling something big is happening & we'll learn more as today goes on!!

It is horrible.... Hope an update out soon. Did factory restore but nothing

Did a factory restore seemed ok for 5 mins then came back. It is frustrating I can t see what I am typing as the volume in front of it

Constantly like this & switched off the hardware button I settings no difference. Wish I hadn't updated

That really is a breaking news article. iPhone 4 crashing? That's amazing, given they can't actually run iOS8!!

So far for me on 5s, crashing less but battery life and wifi performance have declined compared to 8.0. Seems a tad slower on the .1 too.

Join the club! I got 2 defective 6's at launch right now! Ridiculous and spooky! Mines doing weird stuff. Siri just starts talking while it's on the table! Apps open!

iOS 8 iPhone 5 going mental

Does anyone think this is an iOS bug or just a coincidence

Very helpful I must say ;)

Erm, it definitely is useful to get a feel for how many others are experiencing this. Unlike the 8.0.1 issues on iPhone 6/Plus, where everyone piled in to say they also lost service and Touch ID, only two people including OP have this issue in this thread.

OP, I have an iPhone 5 and haven't seen this. dannyyankou's advice was perfectly valid. You've tried the factory reset, now take it to an Apple store or go to the Apple website to log a support issue.

edit: Just thought something you could try. Try enabling or disabling the 'Change with volume buttons' in Settings > Sound

Hi there I have tried the enabling/disabling button, it makes no difference the volume still goes up. It has been a bit less today for some reason but still annoying

Guys,

I have ios 8 on my iPhone 5 and iPad Air. There are a few small issues here and there. However othing close to what you guys talking about. I would think its a bardware issue and get It checked at Apple Store.

Also it could be some software not playing nice. So please look into it.

Yeah that's iOS 8.02 stil same, must be a hardware problem just coincidence I just updated to iOS 8

Its getting worse , now phone crashed and only way to use it by doing a soft reset
