My volume constantly is rising since iOS 8 update so frustrating can't do anything on phone, voice control keeps going off on its own too.

Same here with my iOS 8 iPad Air. It's, literally, unusable now.
Have to type this on my iOS 7 iPad Mini.
I have a feeling something big is happening & we'll learn more as today goes on!!

That really is a breaking news article. iPhone 4 crashing? That's amazing, given they can't actually run iOS8!!

So far for me on 5s, crashing less but battery life and wifi performance have declined compared to 8.0. Seems a tad slower on the .1 too.

Join the club! I got 2 defective 6's at launch right now! Ridiculous and spooky! Mines doing weird stuff. Siri just starts talking while it's on the table! Apps open!

Very helpful I must say ;)

Erm, it definitely is useful to get a feel for how many others are experiencing this. Unlike the 8.0.1 issues on iPhone 6/Plus, where everyone piled in to say they also lost service and Touch ID, only two people including OP have this issue in this thread.

OP, I have an iPhone 5 and haven't seen this. dannyyankou's advice was perfectly valid. You've tried the factory reset, now take it to an Apple store or go to the Apple website to log a support issue.

edit: Just thought something you could try. Try enabling or disabling the 'Change with volume buttons' in Settings > Sound

Hi there I have tried the enabling/disabling button, it makes no difference the volume still goes up. It has been a bit less today for some reason but still annoying

Guys,

I have ios 8 on my iPhone 5 and iPad Air. There are a few small issues here and there. However othing close to what you guys talking about. I would think its a bardware issue and get It checked at Apple Store.

----------

Also it could be some software not playing nice. So please look into it.
