Anyone noticed that something wrong with WiFi sync. Never had problems before, after upgrading my Air and 5S to iOS 8 WiFi sync is so slow and not always devices appear.
OS X Mavericks 10.9.5 latest

Wifi Sync has been a hit-and-miss since iOS 5 for me. Maybe because I'm on Windows.

Maybe the bugs will clear up for you when Yosemite is released.

Yeh when I had Windows, WiFi sync was pain in the ass while with Mac never had problems until now.

Reboot

After upgrading iPhone and iPad, neither would do wi-fi backup/sync. I quit iTunes and restarted. Then I powered off both iPad and iPhone and things are back in working order now.

I have the same problem. I can sync if I plug my iPad Air in, but not over wifi. Have tried checking and unchecking the wifi sync option in iTunes, rebooting my computer, rebooting the device ... nothing works.

Wifi sync is just completely broken by iOS 8 for me. It worked fine after upgrading to iTunes 11.4 with iOS 7, but the upgrade to 8 broke it.

Disappointing that iOS 8 is another buggy x.0 release from Apple.

my iPhone 5s wouldn't sync over wifi after upgrading to iOS 8 either, until i turn the phone off, and turn it back on, and it sync instantly now.

Neither my iPad 2nd generation nor my iPhone 5C want to sync with my computer over wi-fi. I unplug my iPad, and it disappears from iTunes. I plug it into a wall, and it doesn't sync.

Wifi sync isn't working for all my iDevices as well, except for my iPhone 5S. I've not powered off the devices, but will do so like you to see if it fixes the issue.

[Update]: Exited iTunes, powering devices on and off then relaunching iTunes solves the issue for now.

Yeah this helps but after a few hours or so it fails to see devices in iTunes for wifi sync. We saw this in iOS 6.0 and took a -point- release to fix

Same here, wifi sync is buggy with my 5S as well.
I just tried to turn off device, quit itunes, then back on and it's working, but definitely is a problem.

iTunes is a bug-fest

It is my opinion that iTunes, which is supposed to be an Apple premier product, is the most buggy product they offer. I continually have to find work-arounds for it's bad behavior, it constantly needs a force quit and restart, stuff like that. The upgrade to iOS8 on my iPad Air was problematic, but finally completed (iTunes kept wanting to offer me the iOS 8 upgrade while I was in the middle of the upgrade!)

So having to shut down the devices (iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad) is no surprise to get them to go back to wi-fi syncing. It is what I have come to expect from this buggy iTunes software!

All that said, I still love these devices and cannot wait for my iPhone 6 Plus!:)

Just to update all of you that wifi sync is still functioning after more than 20 hours since I powered off and on all my iDevices.

I hope it lasts!

I have done like that, still iPhone 5S doesn't appear while iPad air appears but syncing speed is so 1990

Same issue here, and I'd finally got to the point after iOS 6 & 7 where WiFi sync was generally working... now iPad Air gets one WiFi sync in, and then iTunes loses track of it, and it takes rebooting Air & iTunes to get it back, before repeating the cycle. iPhone 6 Plus is generally working, though not consistently either.

Not working for me with my iPhone 6 either. Running Yosemite GM2 and iOS 8.0.2

WiFi sync has always been dodgy for me since it was introduced. But then again most of my devices have had some kind of WiFi glitch from time to time so who knows.

Wifi sync is not working for my on my iPhone 6 on iOS 8.3. iMac is up-to date as is iTunes. iMac sees iPhone but will not sync over wifi no matter what steps I take. Anyone find a fix yet?
