8.4 beta 4 is way smoother than this. if i were you guys I would wait to install any of these betas. going back to 8.4 beta 4 now...

its def better than beta 1 but not there yet. I suspect by the public beta launch it'll be stable enough to use on an everyday device but for right now its simply not ready.

Most who get an early beta of a major new iOS version don't really do it for the smoothness.

I would if my Watch wasn't on OS 2. I would have rolled back a week ago.

The good news is, however, that battery life on my 6 Plus is SOO much better. I have had my phone off the charger for about 4 hours now (I plugged it in earlier just be sure), and it has only dropped 8% (I'm at 92% right now) with light usage and a couple of phone calls. On B1, I would have been under 80% by now. Performance is overall much better on both my iPad and iPhone.

In other news, has anyone noticed that Spotlight has gotten a bit of a make over with this beta? The tap targets are now shaded slightly different unlike before. Much more appealing to the eye IMO.

When I installed beta 1 I told one of my friends "now I know what it's like to have an android phone". You know - everything feels sluggish and it gets hot and background tasks drain your battery. Now with beta 2 I seriously feel like I'm back in the iOS world. This beta seriously feels good and I'm still at 100% battery after a few hours.

I hate yellow colour of the battery status bar in eco mode. Couldn't they choose colour blue or other symbol associated with low energy usage?

Anybody experiencing intermittent wifi connectivity? My wifi occasionally cuts off and then back on when using it. It's most evident when updating an app from the App Store or when using speedtest.net app to test wifi speeds. I'm using an iPhone 6. Did OTA from beta 1.

No one has this issue?!

Since the beta 1 this has been bothering me enormously. When I wake up I like to email myself articles to read offline on the train on my way to work

The really nice thing about Reading Mode on iOS 9 is the possibility of personalization:

But once you SHARE and tap Mail, you only get the link, like when you share without being on Reading Mode:

I do wonder if that was a choice on their part to remove the content when sharing, it doesn't matter if Reading Mode is on or off, I'm curious about your guys input on this as well.

Anyone have a guess on if Apple can't remotely add Apple Music to Beta 2 next week, or will we have to wait for beta 3?

Why don't you make a Reading folder in Safari and save your bookmarks there? If you miss any links they'll be synced to your computer as well. No need to send emails to yourself. I used to do that before syncing bookmarks was easy.

Still a lot of work to be done with iOS 9 and I'm not saying that in a surprised way...it's to be expected with a beta. iOS 8.3 and 8.4 are way smoother than 9.0...here's to hoping 9.0 can pick it up on the performance side. Battery seems fixed for the most part. I'm seeing lag and dropped frames all over the place on an iPhone 6.

Back to 8.3 for now. Probably gonna wait till the public beta.

It would be really awesome if iBooks could sync PDF documents via iCloud. It would be even nicer if audio books wee apart of iCloud... I hope the books app gets some major attention in iOS X along with the phone and iMessages apps.... At least they added the ability to foreword Voicemail

Your iPhone 6 Plus on iOS 9 Beta 2 can make phone calls when not hooked up to bluetooth ?

Im talking regular audio calls, to like a landline, not facetime.

Me either, i have one problem like the one you have with beta 1, the difference is that mine originated in the middle of a call, and then the call was cancelled by an error and i couldn't make or receive calls, even after a hard restart, i suddenly activate the wi-fi and the problem was gone, i uploaded the bug, and the want mi to reproduce it, but i couldn't reproduce it, and my baseband logs doesn't show anything about that. Maybe you have to do a fresh install?
